My Loyal Imposters is Ithaca's newest all field shot show. More like HBO than ICTV, it's shot in widescreen at various locations in and around the Ithaca area. A brilliant meshing of sitcom and dramedy, My Loyal Imposters follows in the style of Seinfeld in that it is a show about nothing (and everything!) The show centers on the general chaos that is life: friendships, relationships, living situations, mannequins and the difference between guys and girls. There are five main characters whose exploits lead to sometimes subtle, but mostly blatant humor. The first episode follows Rob and his ex-girlfriend/current roommate, Kim, as they try to redefine a relationship that continually seems to be running away from them. Jason, a pseudo-therapist as well as Rob's best friend, takes on more patients even as he tries to hook them up with Rob. Mick, the resident kooky character offers comic relief, as well as a shoulder for Kim to cry on when her sarcastic friend Celeste isn't there to do it. Watch every Monday and Thursday at 10:30 PM...you won't regret it.
The pilot episode of "My Loyal Imposters" has just been posted on Video on Demand, and the other two episodes of this comedy/drama series will be coming soon!
"My Loyal Imposters" was named "Best TV Drama" at the Collegiate Broadcasters, Inc. Student Production Awards in October of 2005.
